Building a Better Future: How Our Credit Union is Investing in Connecticut Communities

At our credit union, we're dedicated to building a better future for our members and the communities we serve. We believe that by investing in our communities, we can help create a better quality of life for everyone. Here's how our credit union is investing in Connecticut communities.

Investing in Local Businesses

We understand the important role that small businesses play in our communities. That's why we're committed to helping local businesses grow and thrive. Our credit union offers a range of business banking services, including business loans, lines of credit, and merchant services. We also offer free financial counseling services to help businesses achieve their financial goals.

Supporting Non-Profit Organizations

Non-profit organizations play a crucial role in our communities, providing vital services and support to those in need. Our credit union supports many non-profit organizations in Connecticut through donations, sponsorships, and volunteer work. We believe that by working together, we can help create a stronger, more vibrant community.

Providing Financial Education

We believe that financial education is key to building a better future. That's why our credit union offers a range of financial education resources, including free workshops and online resources. We also partner with local schools, including Meriden Public Schools, to provide financial education to students, helping to ensure that the next generation is equipped with the knowledge they need to make informed financial decisions.

The Robert H. Hart Memorial Award

Established by MembersFirst CT Federal Credit Union in honor of Robert H. Hart, teacher, principal, visionary, and member of the Board of Directors for 55 years, the Robert H. Hart Memorial Award provides three scholarship awards totaling $5,000 every year to qualified college freshmen. These awards are granted to a college-bound high school senior who demonstrates leadership, scholastic excellence, community involvement, and a deep respect and understanding of the principles upon which our credit union was founded: service to others without regard for recognition or reward.

At our credit union, we're committed to investing in Connecticut communities to help create a better future for everyone. By supporting local businesses and non-profit organizations, providing financial education and affordable housing solutions, or offering scholarship opportunities like the Robert H. Hart Memorial Award, we believe when we work together, we can build a stronger, more vibrant community.
